Pantry and household essentials checklist

Author: Svetlana Petrikina

For any household, purchasing, storing, and consuming food and household goods is a constantly recurring process. For some people this process is seamless. Others stumble over small but frustrating problems. Stockpiled too much—items spoiled or took up excessive space. Didn’t stock up on something—it ran out at the worst moment. Went shopping without a list—forgot half of what you needed. Or bought lots you didn’t need :)

Life itself suggests the need for a logical structure in the form of a list of regularly consumed products and household consumables.

You can use this list to check supplies, for example, during weekly cleaning or storage area reviews. Items to purchase can be immediately added to your weekly shopping list. Storage areas can also be organized by list categories. The list can include not only product/item names, but also desired storage quantities and the quantity at which items should be restocked.

This list evolves with your life and can change depending on needs, family members’ living conditions, and even the season.
