Summer Novelties in SingularityApp: Improved Design of the Mobile App

While the summer was blazing sunshine, refreshing sea breezes and rains, forcing us to plan as many cool events as possible, we were in the midst of work at SingularityApp: we were preparing a big design update. Today we are reporting on the first batch of novelties.

While the summer was blazing sunshine, refreshing sea breezes and rains, forcing us to plan as many cool events as possible, we were in the midst of work at SingularityApp: we were preparing a big design update. Today we are reporting on the first batch of novelties.

Updated design

Absolutely all the icons have been redesigned, with lighter and more modern outlines. We worked with the indentation and dividers — now the application looks even more stylish. We removed gradient bars and the space background.
The fonts have been updated — now the texts inside the application look neater and better readable.

Updated interface

We moved the action icons to the side menu — search, filtering and other options are at the bottom now, so it’s easier to reach them on a mobile device.
We rethought the user scenarios and simplified the work with the application in many ways: fewer taps — more productivity. For example, the parent project selection is now near emoji and accompanied by an icon.
Check-lists in the task editing window have been moved up and now you can minimize them with a click.
We also worked with the pop-up windows: we made them more compact and displayed them strictly at the bottom of the screen — it’s even more convenient now to work with the application with only one hand.

And there’s more

In this release, we updated the design in two standard color themes that are now available in the mobile app. But we continue to work on upgrading the design — in future updates, there will be three more themes both on the desktop and web version: light, dark and space. Other pleasant trifles will also be added — stay tuned for more updates!
