1. No More Dividers
We cleaned up the interface by removing horizontal and vertical dividers between tasks, sections, and panels. The visual hierarchy is just as easy to read — it just works through spacing and background shading now instead of lines.

2. Thinner, Cleaner Icons
The icon strokes throughout the app are now thinner, making everything feel more refined and less cluttered. Navigation is still just as intuitive — there’s just less visual noise getting in the way.

3. Project Menu, Right Where You Need It
The project menu (three-dot icon to the right of the project name, or right-click on the project name in the header or left panel) now opens right next to the project name instead of flying out on the far right side of the screen. Each menu item also has its own icon now, making it easier to scan and remember.

4. The “Today” Section Now Has Its Own Menu
The Today view finally has a three-dot menu of its own. From there you can switch between views (list or kanban) and quickly create a task, note, project, or notebook — all without leaving the section.

5. Section Menu Within Arm’s Reach
The section menu (three dots to the right of the section name) moved closer too — it now sits right next to the section title instead of being pushed all the way to the right edge of the screen. You can also expand or collapse a section just by clicking on its title row.

6. System Menu Gets an Icon Upgrade
The system menu (three-dot icon at the top of the left panel on Windows, Linux, and the web app) got a full icon refresh too. We also reorganized the menu items into logical groups, added dividers between them, and made everything easier to scan at a glance.

7. A Toolbar That Knows What You’re Doing
The bottom toolbar is now context-aware — it only shows the actions that are relevant to where you are in the app. In Today view, you’ll see just “New Task.” Select a task and task-specific actions appear. Open a project and you get the option to add a section. No extra clutter, just what you need right now.

8. New “+” Button in the Top Toolbar
There’s now a “+” button in the top toolbar, just to the left of the search bar. It creates a new task from anywhere in the app — including the calendar and habits views.

9. Cleaner Filter Panel
The filter UI got a redesign: filter parameters are now separated by labeled chips, the selected values list at the top is more compact, and the “Save to Favorites” button moved to the top of the filter panel where it’s easier to reach.

10. Resizable Panels
You already knew you could resize the left panel — now you can resize the right panel too. Drag the border left to make it wider, or right to shrink it down.

11. Tags List With Full Hotkey Labels
The tags panel got a readability upgrade. Instead of showing a checkbox with a single hotkey letter next to each tag, you now see the tag icon, the tag name, and the full hotkey written out. The “Add new tag” button also moved to the top of the list.

12. Refreshed Settings Windows
We went through the utility dialogs and gave them a polish pass: the task reschedule window, the recurring task settings, and others. Input fields and buttons got updated styles, and the windows overall feel more compact and minimal.

13. Better Typography in Notes
If you haven’t used SingularityApp’s notes feature yet, now’s a great time to start. We refined the typography throughout: tightened up line spacing inside paragraphs, in lists, and above and below headings. Checkboxes in notes are bigger too, making them more satisfying to check off. Text and images overall look sharper and higher contrast.

14. Updated Color Themes
All five themes got a palette refresh. Here’s what changed in each:
- Space — kept the deep blues, softened the tones slightly for more comfortable long sessions;
- Dark — richer background, higher font contrast. Text looks even crisper;
- Default — new accent color shades with softer contrast. The color split between left and right panels is preserved;
- Light — increased text contrast, brighter and more vivid accent colors;
- Gray — stays light and soft, but accent colors are now slightly muted and dusty. Same light theme, just easier on the eyes.
15. New Gray Accent Color
There’s a new addition to the accent color palette: a clean, understated gray. It creates a monochrome effect when you want a break from saturated colors and just want to focus on your work. It’s also a great fit if you’re into minimal, distraction-free setups.
What’s Coming Next
A couple of things worth knowing about the road ahead:
- System theme sync is coming in 2026 — SingularityApp will be able to automatically switch between light and dark themes based on your system settings.
- API and MCP are already available in beta.
Stay tuned — there’s a lot more coming. We appreciate you being here 💜
