Here’s a breakdown of all 15 updates: what’s new, how it works, and why it matters.

Kanban
Compact columns, card-style tasks — kanban won over project managers and developers for good reason. It’s visual, intuitive, and easy to scan. Now it’s fully available in mobile SingularityApp: in projects, in the Today view, and with plenty of customization options.
Kanban in Projects
Release: 9.9.0, July 30, 2025
Platforms: iOS, Android
Plans: Elite
Kanban in the mobile app is enabled through the project context menu: (⋮) → View. By default, the board shows three columns — “New,” “In Progress,” and “Done” (all names are editable) — but you can add more. Task cards drag and drop between columns easily, and sections can be used to create swimlanes.

How to use it: Say you’ve landed a new client project — a landing page — and created a project for it in SingularityApp. Your kanban board might look something like this: “Backlog,” “Design,” “Development,” “QA,” “Done.”
Kanban in Today
Release: 9.10.0, August 21, 2025
Platforms: iOS, Android
Plans: Pro, Elite
Kanban is available in the Today view, not just in projects. Enable it through the context menu (⋮) → View. The sections in the Today kanban will reflect whatever grouping you’ve set up for your Today view. Columns are fully independent — they don’t have to match the columns in your project kanbans.

How to use it: Want to try daily planning with the 1-3-5 method? Create a kanban board in Today with four columns: “1: Must Do,” “3: Try Hard,” “5: If Time Allows,” and “Done.” Each morning, sort your tasks into the right column by priority, then drag completed ones into “Done” throughout the day.
Sorting Within Kanban Columns and Section Menu
Release: 10.1.0, December 1, 2025
Platforms: iOS, Android
Plans: Pro (Today), Elite (Today + projects)
Tasks on the kanban board can be reordered vertically within columns (when custom task sorting is enabled in the project). A long press on a column or section opens its editing menu — reorder, rename, or hide columns you don’t need right now.

How to use it: Got five tasks piling up in “In Progress” and need to prioritize them? Drag the most critical task to the top, put two medium-priority ones in the middle, and let the “can wait” items sit at the bottom.
Habits & Widgets
For a habit to actually stick, you need to remember it and do it consistently. Home screen widgets are a great reminder — and a way to log completion with a single tap.
Habit List Widget
Release: 9.9.0, July 30, 2025
Platforms: Android
Plans: Pro, Elite
You can now add a widget to your Android home screen that shows all your habits at once. See your progress on each habit and mark them complete without ever opening the app.

How to use it: You unlock your phone in the morning and your reminders are already there — drink water, do a quick workout, take your vitamins, read ten pages. Nothing slips through, and you can check things off in seconds.
Single Habit Widget
Release: 9.12.0 (Android), 9.13.0 (iOS)
Platforms: iOS, Android
Plans: Pro, Elite
Prefer to focus on one thing at a time? The single habit widget shows one specific habit, lets you track your streak, and log completion for today, yesterday, and the day before — all from your home screen. Available on both Android and iOS.

How to use it: Say you’ve decided to start running in the mornings. Pin that habit as its own widget so “Morning Run — 20 min” is literally the first thing you see when you unlock your phone. Hard to ignore.
Collaboration
A shared project is great — knowing exactly who’s responsible for what is even better. You can now assign tasks to specific people.
Task Assignees
Release: 9.8.0, July 28, 2025
Platforms: iOS, Android
Plans: Pro, Elite
In shared projects, you can now assign a task to a specific person directly from the task card. Everyone on the project can see who’s assigned to what — but the task will only show up in the personal views (Today, Plans, Calendar) of the person it’s assigned to.

How to use it: Imagine you and a colleague are prepping a feature launch. You assign them “Update the docs” due Monday, and keep “Draft the release announcement” for yourself on Tuesday. Each of you sees only your own tasks in Today and Plans — but the full project view shows everyone’s progress at a glance.
Or on the personal side: you and your partner are tackling a home renovation. You assign them “Pick out bathroom tile” and take “Schedule the plumber” for yourself. Same idea — shared project, personal to-do lists.
Notifications
Not all notifications are created equal. Turn off the ones you don’t need, and set custom sounds for the ones you do — so you can tell a task reminder apart from a Slack message or a text from your bank.
Notification Category Management
Release: 10.1.0, December 1, 2025
Platforms: iOS, Android
Plans: All
A new notification categories section is now available in Settings → Notifications. Turn off the types you don’t need — for example, keep task reminders on but mute account status updates and news alerts.

How to use it: Perfect for quickly turning off notification types you don’t need. For example, if you don’t want an end-of-day summary and the Pomodoro timer sounds drive you crazy — go to Settings → Notifications → Notification Categories and switch them all off in a few seconds.
Custom Notification Sounds
Release: 10.2.0, December 10, 2025
Platforms: Android
Plans: All
You can now set a different sound for each notification category. Configure it under Settings → Notifications → Notification Categories.

How to use it: Set a soft chime for your morning and evening task summaries, and something sharper for Pomodoro. A gentle ping means it’s your daily wrap-up. A louder alert means your break is over — time to get back to it.
Interface & Navigation
A handful of improvements that make everyday use faster and more intuitive — from new app icons to bulk task dragging.
Tags and Filters on the Bottom Bar
Release: 9.11.0, September 10, 2025
Platforms: iOS, Android
Plans: All
Tags and filters can now be pinned to the app’s bottom navigation bar via Settings → Interface → Bottom Bar.

How to use it: Great for context-switching in a GTD workflow. Pin your tags to the bottom bar and tap to pull up the full list instantly.
New App Icons
Release: 9.11.1, September 17, 2025
Platforms: iOS, Android
Plans: All
The SingularityApp mobile icon has been updated with two new styles: monochrome theming on Android, and a glass mode on iOS. Perfect if you like a clean, consistent home screen look.

How to use it: On Android, enable the monochrome theme in your system settings — the SingularityApp icon will automatically match the style. On iOS, the glass mode kicks in when you have the corresponding appearance settings enabled.
Bulk Task Drag-and-Drop
Release: 10.2.0, December 10, 2025
Platforms: iOS, Android
Plans: All
Select multiple tasks and drag them all at once — to a different project, section, or wherever you need them in the list.

How to use it: You’re doing your evening review and spot five new tasks that belong in Project A. Select all five and drag them where they need to go in one move.
Draggable “+” Button
Release: 10.2.0, December 10, 2025
Platforms: iOS, Android
Plans: All
Another upgrade for list management — the “+” button is now draggable. Pull it anywhere in your list and the new task will be created exactly where you drop it.

How to use it: Realized you missed a step in your conference prep? Drag the “+” to the right spot in the middle of your list, release, and type the task name.
Notes & Descriptions
Two new features for anyone who likes their notes organized: horizontal dividers and rich formatting in project descriptions.
Divider in Notes
Release: 9.9.1, August 11, 2025
Platforms: iOS, Android
Plans: Elite
Notes now support dividers — horizontal lines that make it easy to visually separate one block of content from another. Formatting syncs across all your devices: add a divider on desktop and it shows up in the same spot on mobile.

How to use it: You’ve got an important client call coming up and you’re jotting down your questions in advance in SingularityApp. Makes sense to capture their answers right there too, so you don’t lose the context. Use dividers to keep your questions, their responses, and your own follow-up notes cleanly separated.
Visual Editor in Project Descriptions
Release: 9.11.0, September 10, 2025
Platforms: iOS, Android
Plans: All
Add links, tables, images, quotes, and more to your project descriptions. The formatting toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen when you start editing the text below the project name.

How to use it: Say you’re planning a team offsite in Austin and created a project for it in SingularityApp. Drop the hotel address, a link to the venue, and a map screenshot right into the project description. Everything in one place — no digging through emails or browser tabs when you’re at the airport.
Calendar
Scheduling is faster when you don’t have to open a task card every time you want to make a change. We’ve added gesture controls — stretch and squeeze tasks right in the schedule grid.
Resizing Tasks in the Calendar
Release: 9.12.0, October 20, 2025
Platforms: iOS, Android
Plans: Pro, Elite
The mobile calendar now supports gesture controls: press and hold a task, then drag the top or bottom edge to change the duration. You can also create new tasks directly in the calendar grid the same way — stretch out a slot, and the start and end time are set automatically. No manual entry needed.

How to use it: You blocked off 30 minutes for a meeting but it’s running long. Open the mobile app, grab the bottom edge of the task and drag it down to stretch it to an hour. Done — your schedule is updated with minimal interruption.
The mobile SingularityApp has come a long way in six months — from kanban in your pocket to granular notification controls and slick drag-and-drop task management. And we haven’t forgotten about the web and desktop versions either.
While you’re exploring the new features, we’re already working on the next big update. Coming to mobile SingularityApp in early 2026:
- Calendar zoom — pinch to scale, and cards and text adjust automatically;
- Android calendar widget — flip through months and view your tasks right from the home screen;
- Drag-and-drop blocks inside notes and table editing — add and remove rows and columns on the fly.
Stay tuned.
