System Folders

The foundation of SingularityApp is a well-designed folder system that helps automatically organize your tasks. Each folder in the sidebar serves a unique purpose, grouping tasks by date, status, or project. Understanding how they work is key to managing your workflow efficiently.

Inbox

A good habit is to write down any tasks that come to mind throughout the day. You don’t have to assign a date or project right away — tasks without a date or project are automatically saved in the „Inbox“ folder. In the evening, you can take a few minutes to sort the accumulated tasks into projects. If you’re unsure which project a task belongs to, send it to the „No Project“ folder.

Today

The task list in this folder is generated automatically:

  1. When you set a date for a task, it automatically appears in the “Today” folder on that date.
  2. When you set a recurring task, it automatically appears in the “Today” folder on the recurrence days.
  3. When you mark a task as done for today, a star appears in its checkbox and the task is paused — then at 00:00, it reappears in the “Today” folder.

In addition, you can also create a task manually in the “Today” folder.

Upcoming

All tasks with dates are automatically placed in this folder.

Two types of upcoming views are available: grouped by sections or grouped by tabs.

Favorites

In SingularityApp, you can add any important items to your favorites — tasks, projects, sections, tags, or saved filters. Links to them will appear in a separate area on the sidebar, so you can quickly access them anytime.

This is especially convenient if you often work with the same tasks or lists. The tasks and projects themselves aren’t moved or duplicated — favorites work like bookmarks.

If you click a task, section, or project in favorites, the corresponding project will open, and the selected item will be highlighted right away.

If you select a tag, you’ll see a list of all tasks where that tag is used.

Unplaced

Not sure which project a task belongs to? Add it to the „Unplaced“ folder.

This folder stores all tasks with a set date but no assigned project — including those that are postponed.

Tags

All your tags are displayed in the tag panel. When you select one or more of them, the main panel will show all tasks associated with those tags.

Someday

This folder displays tasks without specific dates that have the status „Someday“. Once you assign them concrete dates, they’ll move to the „Upcoming“ folder and, on the scheduled days, to the „Today“ folder.

Archive

This folder stores all archived tasks. In SingularityApp, you can set up automatic task archiving or send tasks to the Archive manually. From the Archive, tasks can be restored or deleted to the Trash.

Tasks archived from the „Today“ folder will appear in the same folder in a separate section below the main task list. Each project also has a dedicated section for tasks moved to the Archive.

Trash

The Trash stores deleted tasks and projects. All of them can be restored to their original location.

Items in the Trash remain there until you delete them manually. After that, they’ll be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

The documentation is automatically generated. If you haven’t found the answer to your question, please contact us at support..
