Due to fundamental differences between the apps, many elements from Notion are transferred with changes or not transferred at all.
What is NOT imported
- Comments.
- Attached files (attachments).
- Notes located in the Notion trash.
What is imported as plain text
- Table of contents.
- Code blocks and mathematical formulas.
- Text highlighting (color or background).
- Date and user mentions (@mentions).
- Toggles (collapsible lists).
- Columns.
- Advanced Notion blocks such as buttons, breadcrumbs, etc.
- In the «Callout» block, the emoji will appear above the text rather than to its left.
What is imported with changes
- Databases (Database, Kanban, etc.): will be imported as a task with subtasks. The parent task will display the table, while the subtasks will contain the content of the database cells.
- Embedded links with previews (Web bookmarks): will be imported as regular text links.
- Imported notes will be sorted alphabetically.
- Images and page covers will be imported as separate images within the notes.
Image size limits
There is a limit on the total size of images in the imported Notion archive:
- On the Trial and Pro plans — up to 50 MB.
- On the Elite plan — up to 500 MB.
If the total image size exceeds your plan’s limit, a dialog appears before the import starts with two options:
- Import text only — notes are imported without images.
- Cancel import — the process stops and nothing is imported.
