After the AI assistant toggle is on and you have at least one provider connected, open the chat by clicking the icon in the bottom-right corner of the app.
Pick a mode in the chat toolbar:
- Agent Mode — for creating, editing, or searching tasks, projects, habits, and tags. This is the default mode.
- Ask Mode — for a question or a piece of advice. In this mode the assistant answers without making any changes to your data.
Choose one of your connected models before you send a request.
As you move around SingularityApp, the chat updates its current context automatically: it shows above the message input field. To send a request that ignores the context, click the “eye” icon next to it. To choose a different context or several contexts at once, use the button above the input field, or type @ and # in your question.
Once you’ve set the mode, model, and context, write your request in the input field at the bottom (you can also use voice input, currently available in the web version) and send it. Use plain language — the assistant will understand you.
Sample requests: ’How do I plan a productive day?’ or ’Find all high-priority tasks for this week’
Wait for the assistant to reply. It will complete the task or answer your question.
In Agent Mode the assistant may ask for permission to work with your data. To let it act on your account, grant permission for the chat or permanently by clicking the matching button.
