The AI Assistant is a smart helper inside SingularityApp that lets you manage tasks, projects, and habits through chat. It can also answer questions about what the app can do, or just talk with you about anything else. Instead of clicking through the interface step by step, you say or type what you need, and the assistant does the work.

The AI Assistant is in beta. You can use it in the SingularityApp web version or in the desktop app (Windows x64, macOS, Linux). The AI Assistant is available on the Elite plan and during the Trial. To use it, you connect your own AI providers with your own API keys, and the assistant runs your requests through the models you choose.

Notes and limitations:

Voice input works in the web version only.

Ask and Agent modes

In Ask mode, the assistant answers questions about the app and gives you tips and recommendations, from a sandwich recipe to a plan for an important report, from organizing your day to productivity methods.

In Agent mode, the assistant works directly with your data: it creates, edits, and deletes tasks, runs smart search, shows productivity analytics, plans your schedule, and breaks big tasks into subtasks.

If the assistant misread your request or the result wasn’t what you wanted, try rephrasing. Test different wordings, add more detail, or switch models. A small change in phrasing can lead to a very different result.

No AI model is deterministic, so the same request can return a different answer each time:

You can leave a thumbs-down (click the thumbs-down icon) if the result missed the mark.
You can switch models, which has the biggest effect on the result. More powerful models usually take more resources and may cost more on your provider’s side.

Terms of use and data handling

When you turn on the AI Assistant, the connection screen tells you that your data may be sent to external systems. This means that while you work with the assistant, any data from your SingularityApp account (tasks, projects, habits, chat messages) can be passed to the services you connect.

Any amount of your SingularityApp account data can be sent to the external providers you have connected with your own API keys when you select their models for a request.

Important. SingularityApp is not responsible for how external providers, or any services you connect in the AI Assistant settings, process, store, or encrypt your data.

Availability and plans

What the AI Assistant can do

The AI Assistant is a general-purpose helper that works in two modes and supports you with tasks, projects, and work throughout the day:

Help, recommendations, and tips — get help with app features, plus advice on productivity, organizing your day, and managing your time. Recommendations on many topics, from planning methods to recipes, from preparing a talk to setting up a project.

Examples: “How do I organize a productive day?”, “Which methods help me get more done in less time?”, “Help me plan a talk.”
Managing tasks, projects, and habits — create, edit, and delete tasks, projects, habits, and tags right in the chat with the assistant.

Examples: “Create a task to write the report tomorrow at 10:00”, “Mark the habit ’workout’ as done.”
Search, analytics, and planning — find tasks by priority, project, tags, dates, and completion status. See completion stats by day, week, and month. Plan your day, find free time in your schedule, and break big tasks into subtasks or checklists.

Examples: “Find all high-priority tasks for this week”, “Find free time tomorrow for a 2-hour meeting”, “Show my productivity for the week.”
