Smart Date Recognition

In the mobile version of SingularityApp, you don’t have to spend time manually setting the date and time. Simply include them in the task title when creating it (either by voice or text), and the app will automatically recognize and set the correct parameters.

How It Works: Phrases the App Understands

  1. Simple dates You can use words like today, yesterday, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow.
  2. Time of day The app recognizes phrases like "in the morning", "at noon", "in the evening", and "at midnight" and converts them into specific times:
    • Morning — 9:00 AM
    • Noon — 12:00 PM
    • Evening — 6:00 PM (You can adjust this time in the Evening start setting.)
    • Midnight — 12:00 AM
  3. Days of the week Specify a weekday (for example, on Monday), and the task will be scheduled for the next occurrence of that day.
  4. Specific dates and times You can enter exact dates and times, for example: April 15 or meeting at 1:40 PM.
  5. Time ranges (Pro / Elite) Specify a start and end time (for example, meeting from 11 to 12), and the app will automatically calculate the task duration.
  6. Relative time Plan tasks for the future using phrases like in, after, or within (for example, in 3 days or after 2 hours).

Recognition Settings

You can manage date recognition in the app’s “General Settings” — look for the “Date recognition language” option. Three modes are available:

  • English — dates are recognized in English (january, tomorrow, morning, etc.). Selected automatically if the app language is set to English or any language other than Russian;
  • Russian — dates are recognized in Russian (январь, завтра, утром, etc.). Selected automatically if the app language is set to Russian;
  • Off — date recognition is disabled.

By default, the mode is set to match the app’s interface language. If that language is not available for recognition, English is used.

You can also enable the “Remove date from title” option in “General Settings” — when turned on, the recognized date is automatically removed from the task title after saving.
