Xiaomi Notifications

The MIUI interface from Xiaomi actively manages background app activity to save battery power. Because of this, you may need to adjust some system settings manually to ensure stable notification delivery from SingularityApp.

How to Check Your Xiaomi OS Version

To check the operating system version on your Xiaomi device, follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap “About Phone” (or “About Device”).
  3. At the top of the screen, you’ll see information about your MIUI and Android versions.

According to public sources, the names and locations of these sections may vary slightly depending on your device model and MIUI version. However, the information is almost always found in the “About Phone” section.

MIUI 14

In MIUI 14, a new permission was introduced that allows each app to start from the background.

Go to:

Settings → Apps → SingularityApp → Permissions → Background Auto-start.

MIUI 12, 11

To ensure the app runs properly in the background, make sure your settings look as follows:

  1. Settings → Apps → All Apps → SingularityApp → Activity Control → No Restrictions.
  2. Settings → Apps → Permissions → Background Auto-start → SingularityApp.

Some options may be unavailable depending on the app’s permissions.

MIUI Optimization

According to public sources, the setting called “MIUI Optimization” first appeared in MIUI 12, although it may have existed in earlier versions.

By default, this option is hidden — to find it, you must first enable Developer Mode. To do this, tap the “MIUI Version” line in the “About Phone” section 10 times.

Like other built-in MIUI tools, this setting can interfere with normal background operations — for example, preventing the app from sending notifications.

MIUI 10

Settings for background app operation:

Power Management:

  1. Go to Settings → Additional Settings → Battery Manager → Power Plan.
  2. Select the “Performance” mode — this way, the system will place fewer restrictions on apps.
  3. In the Battery Manager, open “Protected Apps”. Add SingularityApp there to prevent the system from closing it in the background.
  4. Go to Settings → Apps → SingularityApp → Battery.
  5. Enable “Allow running after the screen is turned off”, even if the app consumes more power.
  6. Go to Battery & Performance → App Power Management.
  7. Turn off the general power-saving mode — it may interfere with background processes.
  8. Then select Background Power Saving → Choose Apps → SingularityApp.
  9. Under “Background Settings”, select “No Restrictions”.

App Power Saving:

Go to Security → Battery → App Battery Saver → SingularityApp and choose “No Restrictions”.

Auto-start:

According to Xiaomi:

  1. Open Security → Permissions → Auto-start.
  2. Enable auto-start for SingularityApp.

Other Xiaomi Settings

Pinning / Locking Apps:

When viewing the list of recent apps, find SingularityApp and drag it down — this will pin it. This gives the app additional protection: it won’t be closed by the system, even if you clear all recent apps.

If you want to unpin it, simply drag it down again — the app will then be possible to close.

On some phones, you need to press and hold the app and select the lock icon in the menu.

Another Way to Lock Apps:

  • Open the Security app → Speed Boost.
  • Tap the settings icon (gear).
  • Go to "App Lock" and select SingularityApp.

Speed Boost:

If SingularityApp is locked in the Speed Boost feature, it may also be protected under the "Ultra Battery Saver" mode.
