If you use the Jedi-like techniques of Maxim Dorofeev or GTD, or chaos management, or any other planning technology, then you probably open the Upcoming folder regularly to make sure that you have scheduled the necessary tasks for the next week or month and there is nothing unnecessary there. But even if you do not use any special techniques, and just want to do important things on time, you should view Upcoming time after time to ‘keep your finger on the pulse’ of your daily routine :)
Upcoming grouped by sections
By default, it displays grouping by sections, this is the very first tab with a list icon. When this tab is selected, the title bar reads Upcoming, and tasks are grouped in the following order:
- a special section for each day of the next two weeks;
- a special section for each month of the current year;
- a general section for the next year.
Left click and hold a task and you can easily drag it within a section and from one section to another. Also, in the sections, tasks can be sorted in ascending or descending order, by priority, you can also apply smart sorting.
